Visiting the Anne Frank House? You can park in the IJDock car park in the center of Amsterdam. Visit the place where Anne Frank was hidden for over two years and wrote her world-famous diary. The entrance to the house was concealed behind a revolving cabinet that was made especially for this purpose. On August 4, 1944, the hiding place was betrayed, after which the people in hiding were deported to various concentration camps. Nowadays the rooms in the Anne Frank House still breathes the atmosphere of the hiding period. Quotes from the diary, photos, film footage and original objects from the people who were hiding illustrate the events that took place. The checkered diary and other original writings of Anne Frank can be seen here.
